Caritas Europe Social Policy Commission is the permanent body of Caritas Europe for social issues – implementing activities of the Strategic Plan CE priority NO 1 – social inclusion and social cohesion.
The Commission has 11 members – representatives of Caritas Europe network, social policy experts, 2 consultants, 2 representatives of CE Executive board and 4 members of the Secretariat of Caritas Europe.
3 meetings are organized on yearly basis, with the plan of activities of CE in priority 1, advocacy on social policy and followed up project of social importance for social inclusion, social cohesion and advocacy on social justice and poverty combating. The Commission is also responsible for organisation of forums, seminars and consultations on EU level and all Europe too (north – south, east-west). Caritas BC BiH has its own representative in SPC since 2005, who is now in his/her second mandate till the end of 2010.

Caritas Europe Home Care Task Force
is task force as substructure of the Social Policy Commission, gathering 7 experts of Home Care from MO’s Caritas Europe. This TF has support of secretariat for regular meeting assistance, organizing a forum, email and web communication, Meetings are organized 2-3 times per year and are the platform for discussion about Home Care services in all Europe, creating documents and collecting information about Home Care services in Caritas network. This task force is collecting and combining HC experiences from 20 countries in Europe that are providing more services for more than 500.000 care needing people.
Caritas BC BIH has one representative in this TF who is mandated till the end 2010, and the liaison person for the Social policy Commission and HCTF.

Inclusion Network
is an activity of the project financed from the PROGRESS fund of European Commission that is gathering representatives of members of Caritas organisations in EU and accessing countries. The general idea is creation of a common approach to monitoring and lobbying to the social legislation and politics on European or national / local levels for the purpose of follow up of the implementation of social inclusion and social justice.
Caritas BC BIH is involved in these activities in accordance with its capacities.
