Abstract: Caritas of Bishop’s conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with Merhamet, La Benevolencija, and Dobrotvor 1917 implement an initiative phase of the project “School of social occupation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with financial support of Caritas Austria and Austrian Development Cooperation.
According researches and experiences from a filed, shows that there is a huge need for social services, especially for social services for old people care, and a persons with a special needs. Temporarily educational offers in a field of primary expert educations are not covered with a constant rise of needs and expert help in a society. The system of education in Bosnia and Herzegovina covers and offers social occupations for medical occupations, although isn’t offers education for specific social occupations, such as a care for elderly persons and persons with special needs. A need for social services constantly is rising, and with proportion a number of those who needs those services are rising too. Therefore, is visible need for good educated persons which will take leaders positions and who will have necessary skills of guidance in a field of social work.
The aim of the project is to establish a social occupation which will be recognized all over the Bosnia and Herzegovina, on bases of needs for educated persons for social occupation. In a frame of that kind of education, persons would acquire such knowledge and skills necessary for care of elderly persons and persons with special needs, as well as knowledge and skills in social management.
In a primary aim group belong persons above 17 year of age which are unemployed, persons who would like prequalification and persons which intention are self-employments or are already employed in a similar kind of work.
